Introduction

We (AudioThing Ltd.) take the privacy of your personal data very seriously, in strict compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) legislation. You will only be asked to divulge information that is absolutely necessary to use our services or our products. Under no circumstances will your personal data be sold or otherwise passed on to third parties.

Information processing

Our website automatically collects and stores information transmitted by your internet browser. Including:

  • Browser type, version
  • Operating system
  • URL of the referrer (previously visited webpage)
  • IP address of the computer
  • Date and time of the server request

This data is anonymous, it cannot be linked to a specific person, and is not processed together with data from other sources. This data is used only for internal statistics. We periodically delete this data from our server.

Purchasing

We don’t collect nor store your credit card details as all payments are processed by 2checkout / Verifone.
After completing the order with 2checkout, you are redirected to our site and we will collect some of the data from your order. Including:

  • Full Name
  • Email Address
  • IP Address
  • Date and Time

This data is required to use our products and services, and also for security reason. After completing your order, you will be asked to register an Account. Please, read more about that in the following paragraph.
You can request to delete all your information at any time by contacting us.

Account / User Area

In order to use our products and services, you must register an Account to access your User Area. We must process information about you which includes: full name and email address. This information is used to generate the required license file to activate and use our products and services. We won’t share your information with third parties. We don’t store the password in plain text.

Software

The Software automatically connects to the internet to check for version updates and notifications (including news, sales, or other imporant messages). No computer data or personal information is collected.

Newsletter

We use our newsletter to send news about updates, upcoming products and promotions. To receive our newsletter we need a valid email address as well as information allowing us to check that the owner of that email address actually wishes to receive the newsletter. Any other information requested for the newsletter is optional (eg. first and last name). Permission to store this data, including the email address used to send the newsletter, can be withdrawn at any time.
We use MailChimp (by The Rocket Science Group LLC) to store your email address and deliver the newsletter. In doing so we adhere to their Terms of Service.
We will treat your information with respect. We hate spam too! You can change your mind at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email you receive from us, or by contacting us.

Cookies

As is common practice with almost all professional websites, this site uses cookies, which are tiny files that are downloaded to your computer, to make our website user-friendly, effective and secure. Most of them (like in our user area) are session cookies and are automatically deleted when you leave our website. Cookies can not damage your computer, nor do they contain malware. Third Party Services

We use third party services that may or may not process and collect your information.
We use Facebook tracking pixel on our site for online advertising. Your personal information is only collected and stored by Facebook based on your opt-in preferences. You may opt-out from your Facebook account settings.
We use Google Analytics to help analyze how customers use our site. The tool uses cookies to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behavior in an anonymous form.
We will never use (nor allow any third party to use) the statistical analytics tool to track or collect any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) about visitors to our site. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Neither we nor Google will link or attempt to link an IP address with the identity of a computer user.

Right of access

You have the right to demand access to your personal data at any time, including origin, recipient and the use(s) to which your data has been put.
